About us

Founded in 2005

Sharp Focus Productions was founded by producer and director Rob Maidment in 2005. Rob has over twenty years’ experience in making high-quality drama and factual content, including extensive work in the field of English language teaching (ELT) films.

Prior to setting up Sharp Focus Productions, Rob managed ELT video production and publishing at Oxford University Press. Subsequently, he has written, produced and directed ELT film and video content for Cambridge University Press, Macmillan Education and many other major publishers in the UK and other territories.

Past

Since 2005 we have scripted and produced a wide range of educational and corporate film and video for clients in the UK, USA and Israel.

Present

We are committed to producing innovative and high-quality content for clients in the education and corporate sectors, for delivery via digital platforms and broadcast TV.

Future

Our aim is to expand the range of our work and to seek new challenges in the areas of script writing and production.

The team

Experts in creative filmmaking

We work with a regular team of collaborators who are highly skilled in key areas such as cinematography, sound recording, location management and production, in addition to acting and presenting talent.
