We’ve recently completed a series of twelve grammar presentation videos for Burlington Books. The videos are designed to be used as part of Burlington’s Options coursebook series for ESO (Educación Secundaria Obligatoria) secondary school students studying English in Spain. Options is scheduled for publication in 2023.
Each of the videos focuses on a specific area of grammar that is relevant to intermediate-level learners of English e.g. the contrast between the present perfect simple and the past simple tenses; defining relative clauses; the first and second conditional.
We developed the concept for the videos and wrote the scripts. Production involved working with a team of four very talented teenage presenters. The twelve videos each follow the same format of a short opening dialogue, that demonstrates the key language elements in use, followed by an explanation sequence with animated graphics.
